Good morning!
I built a run between the broiler pen and the meat coop. Saddly the run is only 50 ft long and DH insisted that he move the pen 70 ft away from the coop :/ I spent an hour chasing chicks last night. The cross birds are slow enough that they were not too difficult. Those pesky Jersey Giants....anyway I was very relived when I finally counted heads and had all of them.

I used to spend a lot of time chasing chicks when I was younger.....

Yeah me too I was really beginning to think I was going to lose a Jersey. They are black and hide very well in tall grass at dusk. :/

Morning Friday! Things are going well. In the process of setting up my next coop and run. Moving that coop yesterday was pretty tough, but I got it done.

Still need another safe house in the run. Some of the chickens like to pick on the babies, and they end up staying in the coop too much.

Think I'll rearrange the run this afternoon.

Supposed to go walleye fishing tonight... But it's snowing... And cold... Don't know how bad I really want to go.... Supposed to be 70 in a few days....
