French frogs

That sucks... ours is just set on 'Broil'...
ugh......summer time showers brings no relief to the heat, just ups the humidity, to wet wool blanket, fresh out of the microwave......

hey, noticed you posting over on the sex link thread, about using cream legbars with an AM roo. Did you need a splash roo, or black, or blue?

I hear your humidity and raise you a broken AC unit... :plbb

If you want clear sex links from that cross, go with black Am... the poster wanted sex linked blue birds laying colored eggs... as I explained to WV, blue *can* be used, but a lot of times the head spots aren't very distinct... using blue or splash you might have to breed a few batches and grow out to be able to tell the subtle differences as new hatched chicks...

One gate done, two to go:

We have had almost no rain all Spring. Hope we get a good monsoon season this summer, we sure could use some rain.

84 degrees, 10% humidity, nice breeze. Cool in the shade, really hot in the sun.

I like the auto sex of the CL's, but not their production......

maybe after adding a black AM, it could up their production, and give me some of that hybrid vigor for hatching eggs, be a triple threat, so to speak.

sex linked
blue eggs
decent production.

Nothing wrong with Legbar production, just have to choose your line carefully... ours lay really well and large eggs... I just don't care for them... never have been a fan of their look and they're personalities are just not what I like... too much hassle, so they're next up on the block for us...

I just looked up one source during lunch, said 150-180 eggs annually.......AM's closer to 300 annually. does that sound right?

I realize it was only one source for each, that is why I'm asking.

Not mine... both of my breeds lay fairly equal... I would put them up closer to the 300... barring broodiness, of course...
