@WalnutHill (Or anyone else who has experience with turkeys)
Two of our poults just "Dropped" died over the last 2 days, I think maybe they were too hot? (No, the light is not on during the day cause it's like a 100F out there) and they always ball up whether or not the light is on.

Sorry, Dan, for the late reply. We were camping in Canada with blissfully no data.

They should not ball up. Something, usually being scared, is causing that.

Best thing to do is to take away all corners. Sounds funny, but a simple hoop of chicken wire or portable puppy pen or something will help them spread out. Give them some chopped up broccoli, grass to scratch in, and some shade and water and they should be happy.

Are any of them fluffed up with their heads scrunched in to the shoulder? If so, treat immediately with Corid in treatment dosage.

Are any of them panting with necks up and wings dragging? If so, they are hot, give them shade with grass or damp dirt.

Sorry I can't be of much help late and so far away.

Not much wildlife but a bunch of obnoxious black squirrels, starlings and sparrows. But the sunsets over Lake Huron were beautiful.

Hot sunny days (except a couple hours of thunderstorm yesterday), and cool breezy nights. Perfect tent camping weather! My son had to catch a noon flight so he and I left at 5:30 a.m. so he could get home, grab his gear and I dropped him at the airport. I got home and did chores, then DH and DD came with more stuff to unpack and clean.

I tossed a chicken in the smoker and wood roasted it for a cold roast chicken dinner, with our first garden greens salad this year.

The babies are growing so fast! I left 15 poults inside as they were only a week old and looked too small to go out into the coop brooder. They were twice as big just four days later and are now outside. The first day in the "Big House" is always stressful.

The growout pen is full of beauties.

This guy has the craziest comb I've ever seen. And only one wattle.

I love the colors on this Cornish cross, but it's likely a boy.

This one may be girl.

Whatcha got there, Mom?

Flock daddy looks happy!! This weekend is always kinda sad for me. But I always cook up good food for my kiddos and make the best of it!

That's a big egg Dan! What are you doing today for the holiday? How are your birds? Are they better? Did you start treatment?
They're only about the size of a quail egg
