yes sir........glad we live relatively close to the coast, with no real barriers......we had a few storms move thru Monday........all hat, and no arse tho.......made for some cooler temps for a while....

no, they sure haven't........dams, and Houston between them and the coast......lots of man made stuff that impedes the flow of water, and causes flooding.

Actually, I'll probably catch a cold cuz OH will set it to 60... I'm all about moderation, he's the extremist...

we run ours pretty cool after the sun goes down.........enjoy sleeping in cooler temps.....heck, we even turn off the heater in the winter....although, we don't have much of a winter.

Yeah you winter does not count...now if Phil turned off his heat during winter months I would be impressed....or horrified.
So sad news. We have lost 2 birds. One duck and my lame chick. At this point we strongly suspect the cats, all attacks are during the day and in the open (lame chick was taken from the brooder to the backyard). I think it is the nasty feral male I have seen lurking, but DH saw a cat go into the brooder room this morning. Figuring it was the culprit (both are black cats and while I can tell the difference he can not). He shot the cat, turned out to be a female, with kittens . I have a fantastic mama who willingly adopted the kittens.
It might have been her...and Lord knows I have plenty of cats the loss of one is not to terrible. I think we will still get rid of that Tom, but hopefully we took care of the problem.
