Just another glorious day at work
Same here... I guess I should get to doing something to earn my glorious pay check...
Don't tell anyone in the queendom, but I candled last night and have 23 of 24 developing
must be another thread I'm not following with some drama happening........
23 out of 24 is pretty good?
Sweet! All Ams?
I wish. The Ams aren't laying yet. These are 17 EEs, all developing, and 6 of 7 BCM
I ran the GQF and Ova-Easy over the weekend to fine tune temperatures and check humidity profiles.
The GQF has the water reservoir with float, so I'm not too concerned with water consumption here. But the Ova-Easy has only the built in water tray, and it uses water like there is no tomorrow.
The design is plastic over foam, with limited ventilation, so I did not expect that the Ova-Easy would consume so much water. Even with humidity pad and 8 sponges in the water tray, it only reached 61% humidity.
My Accurite thermometer that I used in my incubators last year is now 2.5F off from my Spot Check after 6 hours of stabilization. This just goes to show the importance of calibrating thermometers on a regular basis.
Haha. Are you looking a bit purple all of the sudden? Your secret is safe with me!
This thread is a spinoff of that thread. Actually, it's the third in the trilogy
