Great pics Walnut. Such beautiful, strong creatures. I got into videoing the deer several years ago. I've passed on alot of shooting opportunities to video them instead. They are so awesome to watch, photograph, and video. The only turkey I have taken with my bow, I video'd it too.

I sat in the blind two years ago watching a button buck that kept coming back day after day throughout the season. At times he'd be no more than 6' from me; not a concern in the world. I even got to where I could tell him at a distance.

I know the treatment all too well my friend....but when I went through my whole bone marrow transplant thing.....I had kids at home...I had no option but to fight....he's I think 90.... I think he just wants it to be over.....

My grandfather (raised me as my dad) is going through heart failure and refused to have anymore operations. Just doesn't think he'll come out of them alive. So I know how hard it is. I just count each day he has as a blessing!

How cold does it get if you loose power? I had 2 chicks in the garage both under a week. Light went out one night and they died in 60 degree garage. 

Actually, someone is going to buy the chicks right away. So hopefully they won't be inside for more then a day or two. And yes, it probably gets colder then 60 down there with no power. Sorry you lost them. I do have two brooders I could use, on me at all times!

Well I've been working to much Ruby you can pick up generators cheap some under four hundred dollars that are lightweight . four rules #1 away from the house  and all fresh air vents including the heat and air vents #2 extra fuel with fuel stabilizer .# 3 start often or shut of fuel and run to stop .#4 Good extension cords .these will keep you and your children safe

seriously years ago I had a button buck that I was able to get so close I actually was able to touch him....unfortunately some , big A hole decided to shoot him....make the rest of us look bad....I hope to be able to post some cool pics for you guys this winter....even flock

I was not in a blind when I took those photos. I was stalking in broad daylight carrying a Nikon D600, just moving in a non-threatening manner, slowly and at a slight angle with plenty of pauses.

The one with the buck with his head down and pawing was a little unnerving. I snapped that one and retreated.
