I just got rid af a gorgeous rooster cuz he went for me a 2nd time... one of my OH's faves even... but he was a very solid, strong boy... OH protested til I handed him over and he stopped arguing... said I was right, don't take chances with ones you know can do great damage if they put their mind to it...
Smaller roosters tend to be a bit more aggressive twmperament wise, but when the big ones go aggressive I'd rather be safe than sorry... especially with kids... I won't keep one if a kid can't walk through the pen without getting jumped...
ETA: Just my opinion though...
Ok, here's one for ya... Armand, being the little "man" that he is, chases the smaller bantams sometimes... especially when I first let both sets out. I'll sometimes walk between them, and herd him to the other side of the yard, with his girls. Now I've noticed that he will look around for me before he chases the little ones. Its actually quite funny.
