The theory a lot of people seem to go with is that it's a diet thing because it doesn't appear to happen in wild ducks....but no one really knows what causes it....at least everything I read seen to say.

That's what I read too, it used to be thought genetic but then diet... I could agree with that, but...

What most breeders breed for doesn't happen in the wild either... especially Calls... so what if it's a genetic defect we caused in our strive for "Perfection"?

Yeah that's very true...I can only say...my duck looked a lot worse...but it seemed to grow out of it...now you can only tell if your looking for it....mostly her wings stick out a bit.

Ugh, so sorry for her... I think I'm lucky we saw it so quick though... Io's just starting to get feathers in...

Hey, you ever had to deal with angel wing in a duckling before?

I think Io does... is our only duckling from shipped egg, unknown source... what I looked up used to say genetic, but most say now it's more dietary... but none of ours have ever had it and they all have same diet...

It worked with the ancona breed I had! but those dang silky ducks were a pain in the azz... I let them go and then I ended up wrappin anyways, thats why I threw the two pics there to show her I tried letting it go with just feed. IDK if its the littles or what!

I was mostly shocked that I had experience with something she didn't....
