French frogs

Might have to pick one up - kind of depends on what the feed stores have when I hatch next. Don't want to order a bunch I have no room for.

A tad late posting this; storm took the 'puter connection out last night. Gotta love Hughesnet

I've got to second the White Leghorn suggestion. I remember my Grandmother having had a rather large flock of them that were good layers; it was my job to collect the eggs w/o dropping anywhenever I was there. Must've been decent broodies, too; wasn't unusual to see a bunch of chicks running with the grownups.

white or red make no difference If you runs stay muddy red. really just look up white ear lob hens they will all be white egg layers morning KW lots of wind to follow that rain tie it down good if you want to keep it close ..

howdy WV!!

since I'm not all hip on chicken breeds, like you folks, this may seem silly, but what breed is the rooster that sc wants help naming?

Congrats WV! I have two SLW eggs in the hatcher that are supposed to pip. I wonder how they are doing. We got hammered with snow today. Long commute.

Did SC endup getting the silkies?

I think I missed a few posts while running around Rural King last night. Did any SLWs hatch?

Those duckies! !!!!! :love

Anyone have white egg layers?  I'd like to have one to get some variety in the egg carton, but not sure what to get.  (Will probably pick up a day-old at the feed store in the spring.)

Any recommendations?

My SLP lay white eggs. Not jumbo but a good medium size to large egg.
