Our house is a massive old timber frame, but that is over a crawl space.  The cellar is under a balloon frame portion (very weak construction, though it's lasted 170 years+).  But there is a small pump room off the cellar, concrete above, below, and three sides, that serves as my wine cellar.  I need to construct a very massive door and anchor it into the concrete, and then I will be well prepared for any storm with milk crates to sit on and dozens of bottles of wine.  Guess I should put a corkscrew down there...

Now your talking! Just get that corkscrew down there, much less messy.

Meat chickens are planned for spring. ng forward to it.

What are you breeding? I am not impressed with the Cornish cross, they are lazy stupid birds. So am looking at the jersey giant and red (something) and the cornish. Thought I would get 10 of each and see what I like.
