I understand that....but I also knock on wood....it's all for my sake. I guess keeping my guard up and knocking on wood are my "security blankets".....how's Friday tonight?

I'm good - a bit sore from using the chop saw while sitting on the floor. Didn't want to set up the stand for a few cuts, now I'm paying for it. Spent too much time sitting on concrete instead of working at the workbench.

I decided to be nosey--I'm FB friends with Ravyn's OH. She's been ill today.

I keep mine attached to the stand all the time . never take it off .I have one of those Rigid folding stands with wheels .

seriously...I'm intelligent enough to know this... But when you've been diagnosed with a terminal illness you(me anyways) develope superstitions.
Mine are always worrying about test results and knocking on wood anytime someone ask me about how my leukemia is

no I had cribbage tonight but a fishing buddy caught this today on LAKE Superior through the ice.

I've always wanted to catch a sturgeon. I believe they are the biggest gamefish in the Great Lakes. I've caught some 25+ pound Chinook but the sturgeons impress the heck out of me.

And they are utterly delicious...I first had smoked sturgeon at a Russian coworker's birthday party. There were a number of foods I couldn't identify but tasted awesome. I had to find someone who spoke English to tell me what it was. At $50 a pound I won't be buying it anytime soon. I probably ate over a pound of it, and didn't find out what it was or how much it cost until much later.

I was just saying what I think to keep myself from needless worry and concentrate on the things that might make a difference. (Doesn't always work.)

Nothing wrong with superstitions and rituals - works for baseball pitchers.

you have a very strong will and it has kept you going . my father in law had that and lived until he was ninety .so you aren't going anywhere unless you get dragged down a ice hole fighting a big fish .And they will be telling that tale along time .
