French frogs

My birds had the dry pox about a year and a half ago. Small blisters then dark spots on combs and wattles. Could tell the birds were a bit sick, but nothing serious. I didn't do any treatment, just good supportive care. Electrolytes, garlic, but it took quite a while for it to go away.

Thanks! Seems to be the general consensus. So how do they get it to begin with? That's the one thing I haven't found yet. I know its contagious, but how does it start?

That's what I was figuring on doing. The bad new is, its one of the birds that I plan to get rid of (I think) So I'll just have to see what she thinks, or how experienced she is. Maybe give her the other one. Its a big comb, but on a very small bird! Little OEGB boy. Now I see that one point was pale when I took this pic January 23rd. Or it could be the other male. I didn't pay attention to which one it was.
How do feel about dubbing?

I don't like the looks of them after dubbing, and I know I couldn't physically do it.  If I were going to show him, I know that would be required, but I have no desire to do it.

I've don't it a couple of times. I didn't like doing it but my birds did fine. I'm the opposite, I like the trimmed look.
