French frogs

We have a couple large packs in our pasture. One den is way to close to the house for comfort. They have not came up to the yard yet, but we have seen them on our back field. I have pretty good dogs, they are smart enough not to leave the safety of the yard. Though the bigger one likes to follow DH out to do chores, so far he has always been able to out run them.

Good, yotes are nasty once they're interested in something, stubbon, and way too patient.

Yup. I'm also waiting for a new season of Longmire from them. It used to be on A&E or something, but now it's a Netflix show.

I don't do Netflix, and I'm sooooooo mad they moved Longmire.

I miss Walt....

I think it all depends on your area. I have hatchery birds, and I have breeder quality AMs now. I sell the breeder chicks for a little more, but locally, breeder quality doesn't make a huge difference. That's why I am looking into going NPIP. If I can ship, I can have a much larger audience, and charge more for the birds that are worth it.
I also have a waiting list starting for my cuckoo marans, and I am upfront about them being from a hatchery, but they still sell out quickly at $6 each, where the Smith AMs are at $8.

The couple that picked up birds from me last night want some more golden sebrights. I told him I'd hatch some as soon as these start laying, or he could find eggs and I'd incubate them for him. Got a text this morning saying all their friends want some now too!!

They actually really liked the mixed bird - the silver sebright x modern game cockerel, but I can't recreate him.

I didn't realize you had a varied flock. I thought, and seem to have been wrong, that you concentrated on a couple breeds.

They are older girls from my first years. We only had feed store laying hens for the first 3 years, barred rocks, buff orpingtons, production reds, black sex links, and speckled Sussex. I still have a large pen that holds that original flock, and they will never be sold, they are all named. As they age out, that pen will be converted to AMs or BCM, but for now they are my tie to how it all started

Okay guys I'm headed to bed...I have an appointment tomorrow...then I'm taking lunch in to my old crew at the shop.
Yeah I'm a mechanic and I'm paying to have my oil changed. Because it's cheaper than doing it myself. $19.95
I cannot do it that cheap....bye...pleasant dreams....but then again I might end up getting back up.....

I understand. I'm an accountant, and plan to hire someone to do my taxes once they become complicated. People are baffled by that. Sometimes, it is worth it to hire it done for as little as it costs.
