yea and me and Ravyn both have head colds from the crazy weather already. you know I can't believe I hatched all then chickens last year . I got chickens every where . eggs coming out of my ears. going through now and sorting what stays and what leaves . and still building coops and runs . I have closed my thoughts to hatching for a while .so you guys have at it . went to get feed and everybody has chicks out so selling chicks is out right now anyway .didn't like any I saw though .Marans chicks were very small tiny even for a hatchling. but I know who hatched them .same man hatched my EEs / am yeah right . Ravyns Lavs are looking good though .also have some black roos going to get pictures of them today .

Ok watched the sheep and the t mobile one. They were not bad, but it is really sad that they were the best. The Mountain dew one and the Doritoes one, I wish i could unsee.

howdy Friday!!

I have some news for ya'll duck lovers.........

wife has allowed, that we can have a go at hatching duck eggs this spring.......  timing to be determined by how soon I can get their enclosure and pond set up done.  Phil had given me a great idea about using their pond water for the garden.  I'm wondering if we can also use it for hydroponics.

I'm up early since its DHs first day at work. Going to finish my coffee and fire up the work computer in a bit, then when it gets warmer, wash the dogs. They decided to go after a skunk last night and luckily didn't get hit too bad. Washed their faces with citrus soap and water last night, which helped.

Lemon dish soap and hydrogen peroxide....

Took a few pics over the weekend.

Had to work on the mud a bit this weekend. I don't know how they stay half as pretty as they do.





They did enjoy some time out in the woods. Had one little scuffle with Big Guy and Louie. Louie is huge, and took off running like a scared puppy. Big Guy chased him into his run, I had to rescue him.


Big Guy can look a bit intimidating.



Need a name for this pretty sebright boy. I think he is taking his place as master.

they are egg stealers........I have no idea why they would want to steal them tho?

they like to eat sleeping chickens' heads also......

them and possums get no quarter at our place....

well I learned my lesson the hard way with my own dogs . I did not want chickens but she insisted . I said not no but hell no came home from working on Saturday she had chicks in bukets in tubs in barrels she had chicks every where that was almost thirty years ago me working daylight to dark farming and working so t post and 2x4 wire was the pen and just stuck up there young shepherd pup got to them killed the all her little roo had just started to crow .good she cried for days I went and got chain link and post and built her a zoo nothing in from any where. cept that one skinny little possum. went right through the wire killed the last two hens of the last bunch she bought . that by the way I took care of for years so now I feed the possoms keep them fat so they won't fit they love dead rats . after 8 gotta go have a great day guys

Panthers offense never showed up, for crying out loud...

I told people all week that the Broncos hadn't played an offense like Carolina. I was wrong. Carolina hadn't played a defense like Denver.
Obviously I wanted the Panthers to win, but I've always been a Manning fan. Good to see him get another ring and go out on top

I loved the sheep singing Queen. Afterwards I had to Google which truck the commercial was actually for, so the advertising part didn't work for me.

Be glad you are second on the AM list. Fertility is horrible. I candled again last night, since this one didn't look good at day 7, and I'll be lucky to have 12 of 28 eggs make lockdown. The second set is a little better, but not much. Both sets were heavy on eggs from the black rooster, and those eggs are less than 50% fertile. He looked to be getting the job done better this weekend, so hopefully the next set will improve, but this lockdown Thursday is going to be my worst ever...

Husband tries that he** no with me occasionally. Sounds like it works as well for you as it does for him Sometimes you just need to ignore him and do things that you know are for his own good
