I'm here, happy belated Kings Day! I don't have a cayuga drake, just ducks. I read that they lay these great eggs, but they're seasonal layers and the color fades as the season goes on. I'm hoping that I can pull off a mix between the cayuga and a more prolific layer, so I have blue Indian runner drakes. The goal being prolific black egg layers.

I'm here, happy belated Kings Day! I don't have a cayuga drake, just ducks. I read that they lay these great eggs, but they're seasonal layers and the color fades as the season goes on. Thanks I'm not sure what kind of franken-ducks I'll end up with that should be interesting. I really hope it works and I can stick to the project. Reading what the for real, give em props, breeders go through to get a standard that breeds true for several generations....

Well Thank you. Girls are alot harder to raise than boys and when they are attractive it is a million times worse. My husband did get the shot gun out once and scared the chit out of the boy. My son is the total opposite of the girls, he was the youngest student in the uk to get a phd. Career came first and girls 2nd. Girls are hard work and still are even after they have left home. Drama queens the pair of them. For example, daughter 1, texts me today, I am going to kill my husband. Marriage sucks. Daughter number 2, just found out boyfriend is cheating, coming home in May. And I was having a lovely time with my birds. Ugh!
