French frogs

Okay, this little guy punched out this hole about six hours ago. He got rolled over by the first hatchling so the hole was on the floor of the bator. My wife turned him a little a couple hours later. He hasn't moved since he first popped the hole out. What say ye? Oh, and Flock I didn't tell you this part she said it was sticking to the floor a little when she turned it?

Yep, I'm not the guy to ask, but the girls can talk you through it

I have an issue, looking for suggestions.

One of my four day old poults has an impacted crop. A pea sized ball, hard as a rock, she is standing vertical, in some distress. It's a solid mass, I can move it up the throat but not to the gullet, and it's so big I'd be worried about cutting off the windpipe if I did move it that high.

I've administered several drops of olive oil under the tongue, and she has free access to water but does not willingly drink. I will administer more water and oil, but not sure if I should jump right into surgery or wait a bit and see if it softens. I can't get it to break up by massaging now.

mine are truly mutts.......many different breed roosters, covering many different breed hens.......so there is no telling.......lady close to me, sells eggs for eating, but they are mostly fertile.....

for my hatch, I bought 36 eggs......culled some right away, mishapen, cracks......culled more at lockdown, and took 26 in....

That's cool! Having mutts make some neat looking colors and patterns!

Six hours isnt long enough for concern, Sallys Guide to Assisted hatching warns that his little body isnt ready to come out yet, 12-24 hours after pip is normal for most hatchers ill go find you the link to that guide

Oh boy, umm. What do you think it is? Does it feel like a stone or plastic, maybe dog food? If you have some aloevera juice it might help to lube and heal any ouches inside.

What concerns me is it was sticking to the floor. If the membrane dried and stuck to its head or beak, it won't be able to continue zipping. Someone will give you better advice, but I think it involves dampening the membrane with a Qtip to free it from the chick, but that's only if it is really stuck. I'm on mobile now. Is the membrane still white, or is it turning tan and looking dry?

Thanks :hugs I went into surgery. Food, a bit of bedding, fuzz. Just a few drops of blood, and a poult very angry at being isolated.
:clap :celebrate fantastic! Poor bugger jus wants to be like everybody else. Could you see where the oil had started to break it down at all? I think you did the right thing, theyre so fragile, she just couldnt wait possibly days(!!) to pass that.
