SOOOOOOOOOOOO you gave it a big wet kiss didn't you

Looking back I probably restricted my ventilation by having tubing running through my vents. I'll try lower humidity with the next batch.
Good morning OZ . It really is trail and error . I did what the little book said and filled the wells. My humidity spiked way up there tried to calibrate the analog gages that were in the incubators . they would not stay set . Ordered a Pyle hand held humidity / moister meter . it was off and very slow to read . I went nuts trying to figure out why I wasn't getting it right . ordered Hygro Set II hygrometers the most accrete I could find . they have proved to be the best. while made for humidors they work well for incubation . The problem I have with on board electronic monitoring is how do you calibrate them . Reference to another is the only way . Calibrate your hygrometers and check humidity dry . next keep the plugs in until lock down . to put water in the wells while running I use a 20 cc/ ml syringe with a rigid tube from a cheap Dollar Store spray bottle attached . I add water a few CCs at a time if any at all. you can do it through the humidity plugs or the vent holes may need to enlarge them a little. the most accrete thermometer I have found is this one I like it because it can be set after calibration. the little one is a main stays from walmart has a nut below the head so it can be reset it is called a mainstays and comes with calibration instructions
cost ten dollars the big one is from GQF and can't be reset cost twenty plus from GQF and with shipping will cost over thirty dollars . both will just fit trough the vent holes in your Incubator . and both hit at just the right height to the eggs just a little FYI . happy hatching

Thanks I think I'm going to copy and paste all the comments and make a little notebook for future reference. Are you saying keep the red plugs in until lockdown?

We built this bridge today to go over a small stream. We also built a stand ready for our Bee hives. Low 70s today, it was a gorgeous day. The rest of the chicks were sold. We went out for dinner for our anniversary, which is actually on Valentines day.

OK, this is a first and maybe the last. It's not the top 20, it's everyone that posted (minus one

Maybe I can get some sleep tonight

3194: Frawg King. Passive aggressive narcissist that is either the glue that holds the family together, or the dynamite that blows it apart

RavynFallen

2376: Seriously? Still beating WV? Ravyn is...well...Ok, she's a lot of things. One of the most knowledgeable, helpful people on the thread, but she has a dark side. scflock's nemesis, or best friend, depending on what day it is
WVduckchick

2324: My girl, always has been. She bought a hat. Spunky little Eyetalian with a flock of birds named after characters from The Birdcage. Normally soft spoken and sweet, until she tangles with the Turkey

Seriously, I don't think I've ever said this, but Friday, you are one of my favorites

The show was good.  There were three bands, all playing original songs.  My son's band was best, and the skills he built playing bass in his room really sound good on stage.

Glad you enjoyed it!
