Almost exactly 6 months old now. He still has some growing to do. Don said he looks good but something looks strange with the neck/back. Probably because I have a no crow collar on him.

Don said "he's better than most I've seen on BYC"

That guy knows his chit. I'm taking that as a compliment.

It's sad to say, but I was almost elated when he complimented my chicks. It's nice when everyone tells you how pretty they are, but to hear it from the guy that told me to eat Tate...

Snowbird is one of the reasons Sidewing told you not to go over there. He will give you an honest opinion of what he sees, and 99% of the time he is right. We call it "The KFC Thread". If your bird isn't up to SOP, they will tell you to eat them

Thanks Bert! I have to give the credit to the breeders this year, but I did cull 6 cockerels and kept this guy. Next year we find out if I'm worth my salt as a breeder since I'm hatching and culling this year.

Yeah, as soon as I get a good hatch from both AM pens, I will be keeping some for myself to start the Flock line.

I wonder if out of the 15 pullets and five Cockrells that I ordered from the hatchery, if I can get be decent pair? Honestly, I am just hoping for some really good lacing. I think most folks down where I am would not be interested in SOP. But they will be interested in pretty birds.
