Knew someone who had a German Shepherd Dachshund mix. Looked like a shepherd with really short legs. Poor thing had lots of back issues and has back surgery twice. Heavy body and long back is not the best combo.

If you get one, i'd look for the shortest back.

I know I texted you about this last night, but the others will think it's funny.

Mrs. Flock is obsessed with Oz's little splash chick. She's the sweetest chick we've ever had, and Mrs. Flock is spoiling her rotten. I was watching TV last night when she came in and sat down on the opposite couch like nothing was up. After a few seconds, I could hear the trilling. The little splash chick was on her shoulder, nuzzling her neck, then crawling up in her hair. She would crawl back out and stand on Mrs. Flock's shoulder and look around the room, just content as could be. She ended up falling asleep under Mrs. Flock's ear. It was the cutest thing. If these chicks weren't sold to Oz, I don't think they would be sold

The good thing is now she is ready for some chicks we can keep

. I'm setting again Friday or Saturday, and a lot of the eggs are from the splash pen, so hopefully we will get a few more splash hens to put with the black rooster

Agreed and agreed. Either male or female it'll be fixed. Mastiff have hip problems and dachshunds have bladder problems. I'm hoping that the mutt will kinda balance out the issues.
