French frogs

Actually had a good day, been busy and now exhausted. I can about do without the pain meds.
Finished the brooder.

If that is the kind of work you do when injured, come on over...I'll feed ya and provide materials and power tools including a real live table saw. Call it physical therapy and rehab.

Seriously, nice work. I should build something similar. After all I am going to be brooding shitloads of chicks soon enough...

So this baby...we may just have to keep...it loves to have its belly rubbed and sleep on its back!!! Never had this happen!

Thanks! This is link to the plan: Amferro103's Homemade Chicken Brooder

Mine is not as detailed as his and I used cheaper ASB ply board and framed it on the outside.

That is a sweet brooder!! :thumbsup

*sorry, don't have a half thumb emoticon!* ;)

Going to grow them out, then decide.

Good call... :)

My brooder box in the shed is connected to the coop part at one end. Half is under the community nest box. Still haven't cut another access hatch in the left front. It's on the list. LOL I should make a lid that echoes the shape of the next box.

Ya think? :gig

Turkeys are the most amazing, sweet, loving creatures.  Everyone starts out thinking they are scary looking and ugly...but once you get to know them they are just so much MORE than chickens.

X2!!!

It's been an awesome experience with the poults so far! Luckily, OH is up to try anything once, lol...

Our good neighbor even came over to meet them and adores them too... :D
