Good looking bird. As far as BCM, the legs aren't feathered enough, but I think all of your flock is mixed. They will all be good egg layers, but if you continue having the health issues you do I definitely wouldn't buy from that breeder any more. Did you ever find out exactly what happened to Isidore? I know his breathing was bad the day before, so I assume it was respiratory

finally settled in at the office.

caught up the potential roo, last night. got some much better pics of the feather color, a good shot of his legs, and some decent pics of his head.

If he had muffs and beard, I'd think he was out of my flock. I had several boys last year who looked just like that, other than fluffier faces.

If the want for a docile rooster outweighs any sentimental attachment to Armand, I'd definitely give Oz a shot with him. I've had a bad rooster, and it just disrupts the entire tranquility of the flock. I didn't know how much more enjoyable good roosters were until we got Fabio and Silas

I really dislike mean roosters. Stupid ball of hormones.

Which reminds me, this kid infirmed me the other day that the same company as that makes viagra also makes all of the chicken food used in the country. I guess that explains why my rooster was such a .... Jerk.

Some interesting mixes must have gone into making that one! I like her alot! That's the fun of a mixed flock. Never know what you're going to get and sometimes they are awesome looking!

I think with this hatch, I am going to band all the chicks that come from green or blue eggs.......those that don't sell, will go into a separate pen. I will try to keep a pen of interesting looking birds that lay colored eggs......

eta: so our order from efowl....25 total chicks ordered......22 dead on arrival, and the last three died within two days.........they refunded our money. made the same order with Mcmurray, due to ship the week of April 4.
