Kathy (casportpony) has even talked people through it over the phone.  She taught needlessjunk who had never done such a thing.  Yes, I believe City Farm and Lacrystol both, but yep, I consider Kathy the expert.

Friday, I was just looking at that thread... and found the link to needlessjunks tubing... I just don't see a mouth pic for a duck... trying to figure out if it's same as chicken or no??? Anyone know that one???

Oh, and Friday it said debilitated or traumatized won't absorb SQ fluids...

Kathy truly enjoys helping. You could PM needless. I don't know the answer about the mouth, but I know the tube down the duck has to avoid straight down center. Go left or right.

If it were me, and I was trying everything, I would try SQ fluids before letting an animal dehydrate, no matter what anyone says. There are worse things than having a bubble of saline under your armpit, and it might help. But that's just me. You need to to do what feels right for you.
