Don't I just feel like a total dufus

Hey, man, those things are for ----------- Only ever had one because the doctor wanted to make sure that my brain was normal. I could have answered that for him without all the thumping, thudding and the rest of crap that goes on in that little cell. Don't sweat your reaction and make sure they medicate you properly if you need to go again.

Good points, both of you...

I will say, she was eliminating every few hours so internally things were functioning...

Also, her webs and legs just warmed up...

Awesome!

And @FridayYet please don't think I was not taking your advice in the right frame of mind. It's just so easy to second guess ourselves when a life is on the line, especially without professional training.

You know what else? Think about the meds... we use many meds off label that are for cattle, pigs, goats, etc... but if you break down the dosage per pound, giving the same to a chicken is way underdosing them...

We just gotta figure out what is best as we go and in each situation... and help each other the whole way... thanks again...

:thumbsup

Thank you, everyone... really do appreciate the support, help, opinions, thoughts and all... :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

Ok, now here's the wild part of the day... Lady Grey has been acting broody, but pops off the nest in mid afternoon and doesn't go back til morning... she did that again yesterday... but last night when they came in Crash went in and immediately sat on the nest... she stayed there all night... in the morn, they switched and Lady Grey sat and stayed there... after we got back from getting supplies this afternoon, Crash came running up to the porch 'going off'... very loudly... I let her in and she went and swapped with Lady Grey again... she has been sitting ever since...

I think they're gonna tag team broody this nest...

Ha! That's so funny! They are so loyal to each other aren't they?! Lady Grey knows how to get the job done!
Do you let them raise babies or is this wishful thinking on her part?
I have a little Old English bantam hen and she goes broody here and there. I've never seen anything so cute than when she growls and makes her pint sized little body big. She's a pet..so she doesn't mean it! Or maybe she does, but I laugh every time!

The eggs are all fertile... might have to switch them out though since she was on and off for a couple days... will candle in a few days when Crash is on the nest, lol...

I'm gonna let them do it... would be much nicer having them raise the 'lings... plus, I always give them a chance...
