French frogs

How sweet is that!?  What a wonderful horse!

My horse only had to go to the bus stop, but he did the same.  He hopped a gate to get out, and let me open the gate to put him back in.  Even though the knew he could get out when he wanted, other than the bus stop he only went out to round up my sister's runaway pony that went under the strand of wire in the creek, and once to come up the front porch to stare in the picture window.

He knew how to use a doorknob, and let himself in the basement through the open garage door one day.  He'd also slobber up the doorwall trying to open it with his lips.

Yes after listening to all her stories I think it would be so nice to get a good one for my girls. But neither I nor DH has any experience with them. We have a neighbor who raises several. If the girls show interest in think I will see if he will teach them to care for horses and do the work for awhile. If they are still interested, we can talk DH into it.

So the property across the street caught on fire a while ago, burning parts of the fence.  My neighbor and his brothers were replacing the burned panels, and I asked if I could have them.

I now have 24 feet of 6' cedar fencing that at the worst, has 12 inches of burned pickets here and there where the weeds caught through the fence.  All I have to do is cut off the burned parts, and I have a bunch of free wood!

(Don't tell DH, he hates it when I stockpile stuff.)

Yay!

I'm pretty sure it got wet or was bagged moist. Because by the date it was not old.

Congrats on the lings and chicks everyone!!!! I just my eggs from Ruby and they are resting as we speak!! ;)

I got a bag of Purina starter from TSC a couple months ago that was molded. I told the clerk that the whole lot might be the same way.

Yes, my grandma told very similar, only they were fortunate to have a little money. They always had shoes but they did not wear them until they got to the school (to keep down on wear) and Grandma had a smart horse that would take her to school and go home again alone. Her father would then let the horse out when it was time for school to end and it would go pick her up.
(I was fortunate enough to live with Grandma a few years before she died, wrote down as many stories as I could)
:D

Oh man! I wished I had been smart enough to record my grandparents stories.

That is the best way to do it add they can figure out if they really are into them before you make the investment involved in having one of your own, and a good mentor can make all the difference.

Some of my most treasured possessions is a collection of tapes featuring my grandfather, great grandfather and assorted other relatives that my aunt had the foresight to capture. As a kid it seemed silly, now I get it

Phil: :hugs Now go catch a big one!
I tried it broke my line....:/
My wife ate half my Silkie eggs before I checked them for fertility . :hu I asked her if they tasted fertile? :D
You didn't go there?
You know it...with holes in my shoes! ;)
You had SHOES! ;)
You beat me to it :). Bet they had Bread bags in them in the winter..... Mine did.
LOL...yes, yes I did.
