Just got back from a chicken swap and greet. There are a lot of cool breeds of chickens out there!

Isn't it fun to go and just see what is out there? I was like a kid in a candy store when DS and I went to a chicken show last fall.
Speaking of swaps - I had a disturbing realization this morning........it's no wonder DH was so supportive about my recent job change.......pretty much every single swap that happens around this area is held on Saturday mornings.........guess who's work schedule includes working EVERY Saturday morning.........

Not this time. I'm about maxed out already on chickens, and I didn't want to sell any of my pullets, so I just looked this time

Sorry! Got a call from an old girlfriend I went to school with.
Lol. I believe her mom was a speckled colored Cochin, and her dad was kinda white I think. But her sisters all are different! One black, one speckled like momma, and one looks like a blue Cochin.
She looks like she has a Frankenstein comb in the pic. And it leans over But it's not as bad as the photo!

I just have to say that your post was one of the most entertaining "previews" I've seen in a while around here -- on my phone screen all it showed for the preview was

"Sorry! Got a call from an old girlfriend I went to school with. LOL. I believe her mom was a speckled colored cochin"

which brought to mind a vision of you on the phone with your friend, who is apparently at least half chicken.......

They can eat seeds already?
Pie tin with rocks, so no rocks in waterer.

We sprouted them but thats what they had, and chick food.

I didn't comment cuz I realize Rav was trien to b nice and supportive, but since u wanna be smart, a real mallard isn't ever Crested dude. Those ducklings look exactly like my Rouens did as ducklings, notable double eye stripe.
