That's not a problem here, I sell 8-10 dozen a day and had no trouble selling 20 dozen a day when I had more hens.
That's alota eggs! I've only been selling them, and only by a sign n the yard, for four months now, I keep telling myself egg clientele will pick up as people find me. In the meantime I'm Very happy with around 6 doz a Week
Breese and Anaconda, ok
ETA: I wrote anacona...I know I checked
I do love my Bresse, they're a very meaty herritage chicken, white feathers which do get dingy but they lay well, and the eggs are huge, they forage well, theyre pretty friendly, but wary enough to avoid my neighbors deadly dog, and non-aggressive.
I know Your trying CX and I have my first batch too. I hated them at the start, but now theyre moving around pretty well and starting to act somewhat like chickens. Still, I enjoy my bresse a lot more than those things so far, we'll see how processing goes and I'll give a monetary break down if you like.
I had CX last year, I hated them. I will get a few again, just to make DH happy. But I am actually looking at other options. I have Dixie Rainbow (Pioneer), Red Ranger, and Jersey Giant. I had not heard of Breese before now, but if they are a dual purpose, that catches my interest.
I do not like white birds (I really hated those CX) but they do sound like a very good choice to try. I would love a run down of costs, just so I can compare to mine.
