Fresh eggs question

Oh man thanks for the info! See now this is why I love this website, so much help offered kindly and freely.
I'll have to Google it but I really appreciate the links, I'm sure I'll find the answer but it's worth asking here first: can you tell if a hen is sick with infection like that?
I would think it's a hard infection to know about unless it's raging, but that's just an uneducated assumption on my part. So she can lay both contaminated and uncontaminated eggs... So that's why there's nuked eggs on the market! Man so much to Google, thank you Acre4Me for that correction my friend, I try very hard to keep my flock healthy and the results on my table nothing but a benefit.
Nuked eggs on the market? What? Also if you had eggs hatch in the refrigerator either something is severely wrong with your fridge or those eggs had been incubated quite a while prior to being put in there.

I have had chickens since 1968. Never got salmonella from my eggs.
I wash the eggs , not to get rid of salmonella as someone suggested, I just do not like poop and general nest dander in my food.

I also wash dirty eggs before I incubate them.

don't be sorry, .
some people just can't color outside of the lines or overlook small transgressions ..

Stop, please. I think it would be nice to move the thread because more people would see it but there’s no need to be snippy to anyone.

We have been refrigerating eggs because of the heat but now it is cool so we’ll probably stop again.

that might be, but I logged onto it just by noticing the heading listed below the posts.
there is no indication of what section it is from.
relax, life it too short to sweat the small stuff
