Fresh eggs question

that might be, but I logged onto it just by noticing the heading listed below the posts.
there is no indication of what section it is from.
relax, life it too short to sweat the small stuff

Agree with @Willowspirit - let it go. This topic is best put in another forum, but OP is new and didn’t realize it. It is common to see posts moved to the appropriate forum or to see requests to do so. The reason there are different forums are to best categorize the topics, and so people can find the threads they are interested in. Of course, you are aware of this being a longtime member. @cstephens1987 was simply pointing this out to be helpful, and was not meant to give OP a hard time at all.

Thank you. That was precisely it. I was not trying to start an argument or chide people. I was actually more saying it 1. To let the OP know this wasn't the correct audience and that they might get better responses in a more appropriate section and 2 because typically if requested or noticed the moderators will move the thread to the appropriate sections for you without losing any thread history. I wasn't trying to be mean or split hairs. Sorry if it came across that way.

No worries your fine :) I didn’t take it ugly!

I have fresh eggs, when I collect them can I leave them on the counter and if so how long are they good for, or do they need to be refrigerated?
Allegedly, unwashed eggs can remain unrefrigerated for up to 30 days. I keep mine in the fridge, unwashed. If they are a bit dirty, I wash them for cracking the shell, unless I am boiling them, then I don't bother washing.

The only time I wash eggs is IF there's poo on them, just prior to cracking them... or if there's poo on them prior to giving them away. I've had some people who didn't want me to wash them at all, no matter what they looked like.. which I was fine with.
The only time I refrigerate eggs is if I washed them. To be honest, in my house, now that I have less chickens than say 3 months ago, with me giving away one dozen each week, the ones left for us don't last anywhere near the 30 day mark. LOL
