Hi Lisa - just sent PayPal payment. I'm excited. I even went out and bought a bator today but I'll probably end up walking around with eggs under my arms for warmth and hatch them myself.

My "batch" is going well. Candled a few. Took out two but all the other ones I looked at were growing. Also found out my roo isnt doing his job--all my standards eggs I added---DUDS!

Yaay, another new bator! From the time an egg is laid, there is about 10 days that it's good for hatching (older eggs can hatch, but I wouldn't consider them 'fresh' after 10 days).
I'm not sure if that's what you were asking.

Could I get a dozen eggs in the middle of February? I'm wanting 6 silkies, and 6 americanas unless you have mottled cochins? I was wanting to order eggs so that they hatch out about the same time as my Mcmurray order of chicks get here. Let me know if that is possible. This would be my first hatch. Thanks

Would Fri, the 15th work for you?
No problem to do a mixed dozen and maybe the lazy mottled Cochins will be laying well by them. I can probably include them in the mix anyway. I'm getting a couple of eggs a day from the 5 mott Cochin girls.

I havent ordered yet but am planning for them to arrive on march 17th. So minus 21 days for incubation... would be February 25th... give or take a couple days....I dont know about mailing on the 15th... is there mail on presidents day? If they got delayed a day would it hurt them? If you only mail on fridays, what about the 22nd?
