My three week old bantam Brahma chick bites me when I put my hand near her. I've had her since she was a few days old and have handled her pretty much daily. She's always screamed and tried to flee but the biting is a new thing. Obviously I'm not afraid of the adorable tiny little brat, I just don't want this behavior to continue into adulthood. Any pointers?

I have that biting problem as well with two of my 'pullets'. They better be girls... I have no room for roo's.

I asked because that was my former alpha roo did when he was young and didn't want to be handled. He bit, hard!

Just pick her/him up firmly, bite or no bite. Tuck her/him under your arm and carry them around like a football for awhile. They are trying to intimidate you with the bite. Don't let them get away with it.
