I just almost DIED from a cuteness overload!!!

I am so baby deprived, I can't wait til my girl KD hatches hers on the 28th

Ducks and chickens have no trouble hatching each other's eggs. The only thing is a chicken mom will FREAK OUT the first time her foster duck hops in to the nearest puddle of water

LOL, with the weather lately, she will do that on day one! we have puddles....errr lakes...everywhere!

Glad to hear and it seems the mallard egg is 5 days along. My DD placed two more under her, knowing they are most likely fertile. They will be a mix of rouen, cayuga, blue swedish h300 or mallard. will be interesting to see what comes out.

I was on a duckling 'hatching spree' for a while (while the girls wer e laying). Out of all of the ducklings hatched, I still have the 3 chocolate Ancona girls, 2 crested Pekin girls (Halloween hatch), 11 black/white Anconas, 5 Muscovy, and had a single Ancona last week and a single Ancona hatched last night. All but the newest Anconas are outside thankfully --- 'cause lawd, lawd, I do hate cleaning ducky-brooders.
I have been slack about getting pics, but everyone is growing by leaps and bounds.

Glad to hear those ducklings are keeping oyu on your toes. I had 13 last month, sure I had them nealry 3 weeks but all sold the week before this hatch. Someone called yesterday to come and buy the 4 Pekins...he would be here in an hour...im still waiting for him to turn up. But other than that Im getting them all sold before the next hatch appears. Ive got 4 Sebbie eggs in the bator this month so we will see what colours I hatch from them. I still have Tula & Pom, I do have them up for sale and someone did call about them last week and I said someone was comng to get them. It makes me wonder if I need to just keep them where they are happy. No more fighting and everyone has settled down now with the 2 young drakes now in with them. Everyone is fat and happy...so Im happy
