It's so exciting!! Our eggs started hatching yesterday with the first one fulling hatching this morning around 6. This is our first hatch too!! It's so funny I was sitting in the livingroom and heard them peepin across the house. Have fun and Happy Hatching!!

YAY!! thats sooo cool so how many eggs are u hatching and what breeds are they!?!?!

Thanks duckyfromoz about the humidity idea - i had to do something and the spary idea made me fell better and guess what!!! THE FIRST ONE HATCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is a black silkie or silkie cross...... it has black skin and five toes !! thanks guys for all the help as its made he hath alot easier for me and for them......... another one is half hatched it will be a hamburg chick!!!! GAHHH im so excited their sooo adorable when they look at u and peep!!! i will get pics when they dry off!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGATULATIONS MORRI!!!!!!!! Your first chick...I am so happy for you.... I would suggest a cigar is in order....but after your day at the pub yesterday - it may not be a good idea..

And its a little Silkie too !!!!! Just like the little one I hatched on your birthday... Does it have feathers on those little toes too?????? They are so cute. Good luck with the other eggs...Cant wait to see pics later too.

hehehe GAHHH!! the second one hatched!!!!!!!!!!!!! - (with a little help

- it half hatched then the membrane died and it got stuck so i peeled a little membrane off)....... i think another agg may hatch as i think i see shaking but it hasnt even pipped yet but i suppose none of the eggs are actually due till tomorrow.......... the other chick is yellow!!!!!!! i dont think the silkie is pure silkie i think its cross altho its black and has 5 toes and has black skin..............

Wonderful news Morri.. At least now the first little guy has company. Two of my quail are out too!!!!

WOW!!!! 2 bublebees hehehe how cute!!! call one bumble and the other bee haha........ thats sooo cute.. yes he loves have a friend as last night when he was a loner he screamed all night for me lol... so i have one hamburg and one silkie chick so far..... ok now getting more serious out of the 5 eggs i have ofcourse 2 have hatched

2 have died when i candled them a few days ago...... and i thourght the 5th egg which is huge was dead but now it has started rocking !! YAY!!! my question is as the other hatched on day 19 it is now day 21 should i be getting worried about the egg...... also due to its size could it be a double yolker?????? i heard twins cant hatch on their own...... so yes i gues should i leave iot for another day at least????? oh and duckyfromoz thanks for the tip on using the spray bottle it has put me at rest so many times!!!!!! the others have dried off and are in the incubator lol when you tap your finger on the ground the sprint after you looking for the treats u have found for them lol sooo cute... pics coming tomorrow!! YAY i love photographing them but they move so much!!! otherwise their asleep.... i put them next to me bed lol yes so if anyone knows what i should do about maximus eggus that would be great XD thanks...

OH...so sorry about the 2 eggs.... Dont worry too much about that last egg being later - different breeds may be the reason. But also dont forget they are suposed to hatch day 21. You had some early- you might get one late too. What ever happens you have now successfully hatched your first chickens... Leave maximus for a while in the incubtor- you just never know- But definately candle before you dispose of any eggs. I even open some up as well just to be sure with the late ones. I make a very small hole in the air cell and check for movement.

I have 4 quail, 2 yellow and 2 tuxedo. They are just so tiny- and a bit noisey at times too.


So When do you want those duck eggs??? I have two maybe three ducks laying now.

ok so should i wait untill tomorrow evening (day 22) then poke a hole in the air sack???? its alive as the egg wobbles but their isnt any pipping - if it pips by tomorrow night then i wont touch it........ wow your babies are soooo cute!!!!!! u should take a pic of them in your hand as a size comaprision..... umm not sure so are u getting a good supply of eggs now?!?! which ones are laying!?! how far are the runner eggs you have in the bator now?? lol you hould change your signature to "incubator got turned on again - PERMANENTLY!! lol XD

ok so i candle the big egg and saw no movement so then i opene it and there was a fully formed ded chick

it was wierd as its brain was sticking out of the top of its head???? loooked really wierd anyone no why???

The other two are doing really well and are super cute will add picsin a min................. duckyfromoz are u still getting eggs?? i really want some but not sure when :S ...
