Fridge-a-Bator in Service Again...Eggs Moved to Hatcher

Cyn, that big double yolker just cracks me up!!! It's so amazing that both embryos are developing. It will be interesting to see if you can "operate" and hatch them! What a cool science experiment!!

Good luck with all of them.

Lori

Good luck!!! Gotta take a pic of the embryos even if they don't make it. I would be curious of their positioning. Embryos turn onto their left sides so It would be interesting to see if one ended up "upside down".

Im so excited. i ran across your post today and it grabbed my attention. IVe nevre tried to hatch a large egg..was told they would not hatch.. so i just blantely believed it and didnt try.

with my motto at the bottom of the page that surprises even me. How i hope it works if they are there now they can live. i cant wait to see what thye look like.. jdy

Thank you, Priss. I take it none of yours hatched, huh? Well, you will have more coming at the end of the month from me, right? And this time, both Skye and Velvet are laying and I have their eggs developing in the bator, so they should be very fertile for you.

i wonder if they could have different daddys ive heard that humans can.

ive done lots of "pondering" over genetics lately.. ive had one rooster in my pen. an ee roo. i didnt think on this.. just lived and let live..and then i had a green egg. which meant that somewhere in there his z thingy met with a hens thingy and they produced a hen laying greeen eggs.
now ive taken her eggs 12 of them and h ave them in the incubator. they will hatch on the 21st. they are soooo in bred that its disgusting i guess.. but i m very interested in what comes out. i did h atch four already and they appear to be full blooded ee if there is such a thing anymore.
i cant spell or say the A word that means EE hens.

i started out witha pair of (A) ee chicks.. but bowtie my cat took lunch on the h en and i was left with one rooster of EE stock. i just hatch a few eggs now and then and give away the roos to the locals... and kept KING TUT to do his job..hes done well. gave no thought to genetics.

now im pretty much ticked off at m yself for this.. in doing my husbands side in geneology i discoved this family made a habit of marrying cousins in the 1800 and early 1900 and there is seriously mental troubles in that family. i havent discovered the reason for the mental troubles in my own.
yet!
the young chicks i have now that are inbred ee's are doing ok but they are the quietest chicks ive ever had ever... they never make a sound til yesterday i gave them a bowl of cooked ramen noodles and they all nearly seized. so i found out they can peep. they are so beautiful and sweet. they are in the house.. yes i hatched in november go figure. and if they were not quiet this old lady would have chick soup for supper and i guess they know it.
how i love having yall here to talk to.. retiring here to the county in my golden years sure sucks.. all my friends are long distance friends now and they are fogetting me fast.
