Fried Green Tomatoes

My mom used to cook them up for me when I lived at home in Tennessee....oh, how I miss them! But she dipped hers in buttermilk, then cornmeal, and fried them.....sooooooo yummy! Think I'm gonna have to make a trip to the garden tomorrow! Lots of great recipes on here...might have to try them all!
 
The only way I have ever fixed them is in egg wash and then dipped in crushed saltine crackers and then fried. Yum!!! Oh, my but they are sooo good.
