i season them with seasoned salt and pepper and dredge in flour and cornmeal mixed half and half. Then just fry them in cast iron skillet [IMG]

My daugter in law made me the best ones a couple of weeks ago. She just coated them in cornmeal and salt and fried them. They were so very good.

I don't think they are very tomato-y tasting. [IMG]
I dip mine in milk and then in a mix of flour and italian bread crumbs and fry in butter!
Add butter bread and call it a meal. YUMMY!

I love them with breakfast!! First I fry up some bacon in a big skillet. Then I cook up the hashbrowns in the same skillet in some of the bacon grease. After they are done, I do the fried GTs in the same skillet also in grease. I dredge them in whatever is handy. Last but not least, I fry up some eggs in the bacon-y pan and presto!! The best start to your day ever [IMG]

I think they have a little tartness to them and are YUMMY! I've tried coating them in flour and coating them in cornmeal, but I've never tried a half/half mixture. I'm going to have to give that a try!

I don't know about y'all but I'm picking the last of my tomatoes while they're still green because the dern pests are eating the red ones faster than I can pick them. That's okay, we'll just have lots of fried green'uns for the next few weeks.

menageriemama, that sounds delicious! I can feel my arteries clogging just by reading it though. [IMG]
