Friendly duck breeds?

LOL I WISH we'd only have to clean the kiddy pool once a week. It's more like once a day to twice a day if you don't want it turned into a stinking, festering, pool that smells like something crawled up satan's butt and died. I am able to get away with once a day for my muscovies (they don't love water as much--they bathe once a day) but when I had pekins, oh man if I didn't clean it out every few hours, by sundown it smelled so bad I would gag if I go near it. And this is 3 pekins vs. 13 muscovies too.

Goodness. I don't know if i can do that. Anyone know of any ducks that won't dirty it as quickly?

Just don't give them a pool and you won't have that problem. It's not a necessity. Muscovies are probably the cleanest (mine bathe once in the morning and they form a line to do so) and if you only had 3, you probably could get away with doing pool duty once every two days. I only give them a pool when I feel like I have the time to be able to clean it. Otherwise, it's flipped upside down.

Mine is not in the run....They still play in the water bowl....

I just thought of something. I could buy three small tubs and give them each one. I just feel like it would be easier to clean three small tubs and then refill them than a big kiddie pool.
