Midnight heard his words and felt hurt. She said to herself,"So this is what I get for trying to keep them all alive," and then she got up. She didn't want to sleep in with the pack tonight and headed to her den in loner territory.

Storm was listening to what he was saying. She wasn't much of a talker and just listened.

Midnight came to her den and sat down outside of it.

Storm pinned her ears back, but then ignored him and started to fall asleep again.
Shard grinned and wagged his tail

Midnight heard something nearby and pointed her ears forward listening.
