Feather followed Coby quickly.


"I don't know. I have no idea what I did wrong." Ice sighed and looked depressed and sat down. "Do you?"
Cloud looked at Jasper than sat next to him.

Fire eyes watered. "Thanks you, Phoenix." He said quietly and started to eat the heart. He stopped after a tiny bit and walked over to her and put his nose to her ear, then walked back and sat down to eat.



(Oh, yeah..... Sorry!)

Night came over to her quickly. "What?"

Jasper glanced up at Cloud, as he rolled onto his back and raised his hind leg, to expose his belly to the older, more dominant wolf.

Nialla, watched curiously.

Phoenix paused in her work as Fire put his nose to her ear. She quietly watched as he walked back to finish eating. She was completely taken off guard. She smiled sadly to herself, before she went back to getting the rest of the organs. Stopping here and there to eat a tempting morsel. "There, I have lightened it as much as I can. Between the two of us, we should do fine." She said as she laid down to eat some of the organs.

Feather frowned. "I wonder where the scent is. Maybe this is a trap."



"I don't like it either." Ice replied slowly. " Do you think you could talk to her? Maybe she will tell us what is wrong."

Coby was curious, he wondered where the scent had come from.

Cloud looked over at him. "Sisters can be annoying, can't they?" He grinned, and looked over to make sure Nialla and Clover couldn't hear them.

Fire nodded, and started to groom his chest, which was now bloody.

Clover sighed, looking out into the distance.

Jasper glanced at his sister and looked back at Cloud. He sighed softly and said, " Yes, but it's mostly because she's always messing with me. When I'm eating, sleeping and especially when I'm thinking. Do you think she'll ever stop?" He asked, as he sat up, feeling a little more at ease.

Nialla now bored with watching her brother, got up to investigate the area. She trotted around all willy-nilly, practicing her tracking skills. She came across Fang's scent. She sneezed from it's offensive smell. She than came across the other two scents. Which she made sure to comment them to memory. That way, if she smelled them again, she could get out of their way.

Phoenix was finally full and content. It had been some lean days, for her and her pups. With them constantly on the move, they couldn't really spend the time or effort it took to kill big game. Just rabbits, squirrels and ground hogs, that was a quick meal they could eat on the run. So this was a welcome treat. She started cleaning the blood and gore from her face and neck. Giving heavy meal time to settle, before they journeyed back.

 

[Americano Blue]

Feather frowned. "I wonder where the scent is. Maybe this is a trap."



"I don't like it either." Ice replied slowly. " Do you think you could talk to her? Maybe she will tell us what is wrong."

She nodded. Red gathered her emotions and ran off to find her mother.

Zela sat at the edge of the border. She watched as a small bird played in the tall grasses, chasing insects and young mice. Red's sudden appearance didn't surprise her. She looked at her daughter. "Red, you want something?"

"Yes, actually. Why are so mad at Ice?"

"It's completcated. Ice is Blood. I'm not. I worry he doesn't love me, he doesn't vaule my life. I think he tried to kill me. If Fang wants me dead, Ice will obey." She sighed and looked at her muddy paws.

Red wiggled under Zela's chin. "But he DOES love you. You know that, mom."

"You don't have to defend him. Your not his daughter."

"I know. I've always known. But he has been more of a father than Fang. Even Tea thinks so."

Zela smiled. "You should be leaving."

Red nodded and ran back to Ice.
