Friends Forever???

We moved our Americana's back inside for isolation, and now are ready to put them back out- they were in a pen with Wyandottes- all chicks that were together before- will they remember eachother or do we have to do it gradually? They are all about 2 1/2 mths.

What were they being isolated for?

No their little chicken brains don't seem to have long term memory. They will re establish pecking order when you introduce the new or returning chickens so be sure to add them at night. Thay way they wake up and don't necessarily notice the newbies or returners
