Mutts. I
thought the Welsummer roo was the dominant roo in that pen, so I
thought I'd end up with black sex-links from the BR, red sex-links from the Delaware and pure Welsummer + olive eggers from the EEs in the pen. I got:

By the sheer number of black and blue chicks in the pen, I've concluded the Split Black Rock roo has been sneaking
a lot of loving in.
Awwww... they're cute little mutts!
Those in the back look like pure welsummers. Maybe both roos are having their way with the women.
I know when I had two roos in the ameraucana pen, both boys were doing the deed with the girls. Poor girls. They are much happier now that the adolescent is out of there. But I saw both boys mounting the girls, so they were both at least trying. Maybe your welsummer roo is sneaky, but still doing the deed.
They are cutie pie babies though!
The only Welsummer egg that hatched popped out a black chick, so Black Bart struck again.
The chipmunk looking ones mostly came from the green eggs and most of them have puffy cheeks. One of the chipmunk chicks is frizzled, so that one is from my frizzled EE girl - I'm keeping that one. I'm also keeping a reddish buff one (not in the picture) that reminds me so much of the way Claribelle looked as a baby. I have a total of 4 that I want to keep out of this batch. The rest I'm selling. I have them listed on Craigslist.
