Mine is post 58. Fits a 6pack of quail, and I just made a shelf to stack them (like books on a bookshelf). Under the cages I use a cafeteria tray to catch droppings on newspaper, and then change the paper daily like a bird cage.

mine's outside, on the back porch. They're too stinky to be inside.

this is why i love this website- you find so many people with similar problems. And nothing says "Dignified" like multi-colored hands, face, and little brothers in church.
(tip- try to have the colors of the dye on your hands coordinate with your easter outfit colors
ARGH! I planted a bunch of seeds (tall plants) a week or two ago so that my chickens would have some shade this summer. This morning I decided to wash/wax my car and thought, "Hey, it's a gorgeous day. I'll put some good country music on and let the chickens out." (I'm an IDIOT!) So, I put some Miranda Lambert on, let my chickens out, and started washing the car. No problem, the chickens are having a blast and the neighbors are laughing at me for my awful dancing. Then, I start waxing the car. I drive a cruiser, and it's big. Waxing takes a good amount of time. I finally get around one side of the car and start working on the back of the car when what do I see?! All my chickens dust bathing in the area I had planted the seeds! I run over to survey the damage. The seeds are gone. The girls had lined up and must have been power digging. They got about 5 inches down. On the bright side, the fire ants that I've been waiting to attack until my plants grew up are now gone. While the chickens lounged in the lovely, cool dirt (They'd already finished with my seeds), they sat there snacking. Pecking off each fire ant as it came out to attack them. When the fire ants stopped coming, they dug up more pile, laid down and started eating. I almost feel bad for the ants. Almost.
