Okay today was a fun fulled day

I nearly had my nose bitten off by my doggies sis'.
Here is the story:

"Keep the pups outside, while the people come in."
"Yes, mummy."
Yael, starts fighting with Fergus, Fergus yelps and runs and she catches him.
They fight and bite each other each one trying to get his/her share.
Sibone, gives them a discipline.
"Yael, ek gaan jou pak gee!"
Sibone gives Yael an Afrikaans lesson, which she doesn't take seriously.
Sibone bends down to give her a "pak" and she bites Sibone on the nose.
Sibone shouts at her and screams Ouch!
Yael does get Sibones' discipline hiding, and gets some @?!#%.
Which Sibone's Mom quickly corrects and tells her not to @?!#%.

Lost my mind.... i'm 9 months from finishing my masters... in a field I hate.

My grades have been slipping from my half-hearted attempts at college lately. Today my academic advisor called me on it... pointed out that I was a stellar student, but the last 6 months i've been sloppy and i've not yet done any real work on my thesis (all true). i told him that I found the subject dry and dull...

So we agreed to change my major. Early childhood ed (what my bachelor's is in) has an online program now, and i've most of the reqs already. adds 3 months of classes, but at least there's hope i'll be able to stick with it. I'm so friggen relieved.

No more old dead theorists for me.

My computer is moving much faster today, so maybe I can participate in the thread here today!

I tried deleting the cookies, temp files and browsing history, but that didn't help.
I tried restarting the computer, that didn't help.
I tried resetting the router, that didn't help.
I got so frustrated, I shut it down and let it rest for 12 hours. That seemed to help.

Oddly enough, no other sites were slow, just BYC and my favorite crafting site. ebay and facebook were working great.

It's not so much hating college, as the program I had a bachelors in wasn't available in any of the colleges I could afford. So I had to take a related field, but sociology is all made up for the 25% of my first major that I loathed, but got thru because I liked the rest. Now instead of various theories and classes on ethics, I can focus on the stuff teachers actually do, like lesson planning and child stages.
