Sassy, what's your favorite thing about your library?
I'm a library junkie. Here's my favorite things about all the libraries I visit:
The Lynchburg library has the largest selection of my favorite authors and childrens books and movies, so I go there every week and check out a huge tote bag of books, audiobooks, movies and music for me and the kids.
The Madison Heights library has a pretty good selection and it has a huge play area for the kids, so I like to go there when the kids are with me. They have awesome reading programs for the kids over the summer and give out good prizes.
The Amherst library is kinda far away, so I don't go there often.
The Bedford library sells donated/used/withdrawn paperback books for $0.10 each, so it's a great place to stock up.
The Timbrook branch of the Campbell county library has a huge selection of paperback books that aren't registered in the system; they don't write them down, so you can keep them as long as you want, even forever.
Also, they have a lot of nice books for sale and when the books have sat in the for sale section for too long - they give them to me for free since I go there so often.
And because I go to that library too often, I somehow got suckered into joining the planning committee for the upcoming launch of the newest Janet Evanovich book.
I'm also a member of www.librarything.com (you create an online catalog of your personal book collection) and www.paperbackswap.com (free books!!!)
