who's taking care of kiddos wille you are gone??

Yesterday DH and DS took out my sister's fence panels from my corral, and they put boards back up. I had all her panels from when she moved over two years ago. She is still without a house, but has rented a place for her horses and needed to make more room for them.
I'm glad I was able to store them for her all this time. That was a crazy summer couple years ago making all those trips up north every weekend helping her get all her stuff out/off her property up there before foreclosure.

I've been enjoying watching my chickens and playing with pony and bunnies, and we actually had sun yesterday!!
That's where I have been.

Getting ready for work now.

I'm so excited! I have no idea what we're going to do, other than build a campfire and catch lightning bugs. Hopefully you'll have a good time!

I'm back from walking in my pasture, and....This is what happened to me: Our pasture is not flat...It goes flat then it has a hill going down...Well, I wanted to jog a bit. As I'm jogging, I turn around and call for my dog, then I trip in a hole, I lose my balance and start rolling down the hill. Oh and there are lots of thorn boushes...So I get cuts on my arms, legs, and face while going down...And when I get the bottom, and come to a stop. The cows are looking at me like: "WHHHOOOAAA!!"

I've been up to the same.

Hope you all are enjoying your summer! Miss you all!

Say what? Someone was banned? (Hi Maple!

I got to see a friend who has been terribly ill for a long while before she left town again! That was the good part of my day. I still need to find my license... I hate driving without it (although the thought of "what if I get pulled over without it?!?" is really rather exciting

). I'm going to go volunteer at a local ranch that gives horse lessons to disabled kids this weekend. That'll be fun. I'm thinking I ought to travel somewhere. The time seems right.

I'm back from a wild ride...I went riding down a road, and there are some houses down there....and the people have...big dogs. I'm riding and this huge weird looking dog comes and tries to bite my horses hind legs. I tell him to gallop, he does. Well I'm going so fast my hat flys off, I turn my horse around and go to get it. And that stupid dog is going to get my hat also!! I go as fast as my horse can go, I ALMOST run-over the dog. (I think I hit him.) Well he runs off crying...I jump down from my horse and I look down....He's standing on it...So I'm riding back with a smashed cowgirl hat in my hand.

Good choice of hat.

I have 6 or 7 cheap, bent-up straw hats and one nice felt hat.
My horse hates dogs that get too close. When I'm walking him up to the barn and a dog gets too close, he'll lay his ears back and stomp on the poor dog. Luckily, all he's gotten is tail (From horse chasing dogs only. The other ones don't dare get in front or behind of horses), although I've seen him nearly clip the head of a dog chasing him. No one messes with my Kota.

I went to a ranch that gives horse lessons/ physical therapy for disabled children. I'm going to start volunteering there and this was the orientation. They have a horse there that looks exactly like one of mine.
