I shadowed a small animal vet as part of my med term class. I'm in a medical academy and I have to get 25 hours of shadowing a doctor in the profession I want to go into for the semester. I've got plans to shadow my horses' vet one of these fridays (Honestly, there's no competition between pulling red rubber balls out of dog bellies or taking care of my favorite animals) and I think I'll shadow the trainers at this disabled ranch sometime soon (and get volunteer hours as a bonus!).

Went to the local Pet store the other day on the way to the bagel store, and grabbed a couple bags of cat nip for my cats. Thought it might be entertaining.

I had no idea.

I'm afraid I am now a supplier. I was ignorant on how this would affect my cats, and I swear it's like kitty *drugs*. I tell Madge, don't bite the hand that supplies, but she does anyway as she rolls and plays. I think her eyes might be dilated. Since I gave my cat some "Cat nip" (But I think it must be something else...), she's become more friendly. I wonder if she's using me.
This is an informational post! A warning more like...

Aren't you supposed to be at a cabin?

I was, and now, unfortunately for me, I have came back amongst the living.

I just got back from the cabin. I went on a trail ride after my horseback riding lesson *Sigh*. The ride part of the trail was awesome; the trail, not so much. (Yes, I, love, commas,.) It's a boy scout trail and was no good for horses. They took better care of it two years ago when I first went. I'm buying some boots (easy boot epics) for Ranger. He didn't like all that gravel.

I hear they have removable gaiters now to help keep them on in mud and stuff. I love the Easyboot concept, I think they're pretty much next to amazing. Just sayin'

They do. I have a pair for Kota and he loves them. I need to take a picture so y'all can see how cute he is in his little boots. The only problem is you're not supposed to leave them on for longer than 4 hours (according to the box. The description says they're great for endurance aka 25+ miles) and the trail rides I want to do are 8-12 hours, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Ranger has got big feet! He's a size 4.

I've got a new baby in my family as of yesterday named Noah...born to my nephew and his wife. He's a cutey. Off to go visit him in the hospital. woot woot. I gets to smell new baby!

Haven't talked to Dac in a while. I think I remember you posting about those cats. If I'm right, they were very cute.

Congrats on the new family member!
