Friends Welcome

Hi Maggie, I hope your are getting better.
I have a trailer, but no vehicle to pull it with. So only when my sister comes to get me, do I get to ride other places. She has a 3-horse slant. Sometimes my DH takes me to the beach with his vehicle, but it is not really good enough to be pulling a trailer. But the beach is only 6 miles away, and it is flat easy drive. There's not a lot of trails around me anymore. Use to be when I was a kid. The valley behind me is all overgrown, and I think you are not allowed up there anymore, its a sanctuary now or something.

I can still get to the park if I cross the road and ride down the long road for about 2 miles, go over the hill and cross the busy road. I have not taken pony across the busy road yet. It just that I need at least half a day to do all that. So I go as far as to look, then come back. That gives me a good 1 1/2 hour ride just doing that. Plus there is a little loop I can do, and its enough to get me in the trees and some quiet and enjoy a short ride. I guess 1 1/2 hours isn't all that short, but I used to ride my horse for hours and hours, into the dark. But, those were kid days!
What is wrong with your trailer? I remember you mentioning it, was it the lights or something?

Yes, the place I have him at now, there are about 5 houses. But I'll just go to those and then I'll go trick-or-treating in a big neighborhood with my friends, on foot.

I haven't had it since I was a kid. But on the bright side, no flu. Which means I'm going back in 3 weeks to get a flu shot! Yay! Whenever there's the flu shot lady at the office, I find somewhere else to be. And see! I didn't get the shot and I didn't get the flu. Last year I got the shot, and guess who got the flu?

Them doctors are out to get ya, I tell you. That's why I must infiltrate them from the inside out and change the medical world. Just wait and see, I'll do it, too.

Good morning!
I'm getting ready for work now, had a good 3 days off.

Did lots of errands yesterday.

So, you're studying medical stuff Maggie? Good for you!!

Hi IRM, Boyd

Sassy, that sounds like fun!

Good Morning! Beautiful day here, rain coming and a big change for the week-end, which I am going to assume is cooler weather . . .suppose to have an office meeting this morning, but going to cancel my going to it. Have to meet with a client, and its two big deals if we can pull them off, so think good thoughts for me!!!! One cup of hot tea down, sooooooooooooooooo soothing. Having stomach issues right now and think the coffee wasn't helping . . .DS turned 10 yesterday, so partying at the school this afternoon. Taking banana split makings, which the kids just LOVE and its different than cupcakes and ice cream.

Everyone have a great day!!

Howdy everyone! I've been super busy. I had a friend visiting for the last month (she left this past weekend) and we've been doing little projects that need doing - put up shelves in my son's room, pruned the gigantic rosebush, cut down a dead tree (I didn't participate with that project!), fixed the porch screen, rearranged the chicken coop in preparation for my chicken coop renovations and she built a coop for my banty chickens!

I'm about 7 months now and all is well. I was at the Dr's yesterday and the baby looks great. He was breech at the 20-wk ultrasound and he's still breech now at 30 weeks(just like his brother.) My Dr isn't worried because he has plenty of time to turn, but I had to have an external version done on Matthew at 36 weeks to turn him head-down and I bet this one is as stubborn as he is! I will do anything to avoid a C-section. I had my appendix out in college and I vowed to never have abdominal surgery again - it hurt!

The kids are doing good - they're excited about the baby. Ella was helping me set up the crib last week. All the kids are back in school and doing really well.

Glad to hear all is well with you and the latest edition to the Belle family.

I was thinking about you the other day, wondering how you'd been.

All of the chickens are doing ok, Diesel is good, and I still have no cat since I lost Wild-One. I had given the little stray away a week before I had my old girl put to sleep, so I am currently cat-less, although I am thinking about contacting that person on CL about one of those "child cats".

Mom is home, but still not doing well. Spends all of her time in bed, wasting away, or so it seems. I wish I knew what I could do to help her, since I don't get to see her much

School keeps me busy, and my new beau helps keep me sane (except when I have to go a week without seeing him). The man is a work-a-holic, and I am always in school... but we do pretty well all things considered.

So life goes on in Iowa... Hope everyone else is doing well!
