I'm doing pretty good.
Sorry about the cold. I got over mine a few days ago.
What did you do that for?

I didn't mean to run into it. I was riding in the woods behind my house. And one tree just happened to be in the middle of the path.

Ahh I see.

I had a rotten day today. I posted about it on the Office Work thread, too.

It was in the 90's today and we've been without AC for a week. Of course this heat wave happens when I'm in the 3rd trimester.

DH has left for a fun weekend at Penn State. Before he left he pattied his specially seasoned (and very yummy) burgers for the tailgate tomorrow, but somehow managed to dirty an entire dishwasher load of dishes for these 6 burgers and left the dishes sitting on the counter/table AND left every cabinet in the kitchen open AND a shelf in my pantry has mysteriously broken therefore dropping it's contents all over the floor. It looked like a poltergeist wrecked my kitchen.

Whenever I do anything remotely strenuous, I start having contractions, real ones, not just Braxton-Hicks contractions.

The entire house is under attack from Stinkbugs. Thousands of icky, smelly stinkbugs and my windows are open because of the lack of AC.

I logged in to check the emails I need to answer and the first one I opened was someone griping about my poor customer service.

To top it off - I'm babysitting a friend's ADHD kid who was too sick to go to school today. I hate babysitting healthy well-behaved kids when I'm not pregnant, hot and ticked off at DH, so I'm especially enjoying this experience. Last thing I need right now is to get sick. This child comes over and him and Ella disappear downstairs playing quietly while I try to get my emails done. Come to find out, the little bugger dumped every single one of my kids' toy bins (about 10 different ones) all over the floor, and dumped out all the dress-ups, then informed me he couldn't clean it all because it was too big of a mess. I didn't kill him, but I did make him clean it up (and Ella, even though it wasn't her fault)
but he didn't get the right toys in the right bins. Words couldn't express my anger. I've decided to ban him from the house for the next year or so.

Sorry you had such a crappy day Belle.

Hey Debi, since you live in a desert I figured you might be able to answer this. My Family and I are preparing to move to the Big Bend area and we plan on bringing the chickens possibly the dog and 2 of our 4 cats. Big Bend has your typical desert animals from rattle snakes and scorpions to Bob cats ect. How much do I need to worry about the chickens and snakes and scorpions? The chickens will be cooped up too. What about the cats? I know you had 2 cats. Were they mostly indoor cats? Oh and we are 70+ miles from the nearest "big" town.
Thanks!

The snakes have killed two birds in all the years I have been here. Scorpions are shy and root for their food and only sting when threatened. We have mountain lions, bob cats, lynx, ravens, etc. They do not typically attack the birds. If they are ill or starving they will, but not typically.

My cats were indoors until we moved here, then they were out. Bugsy moved out and Trouble died. Not sure why but he just layed down on the porch and died.

Good morning!

And it seems our summer weather is here now. Yes, we get the warm temps Sept, Oct. Its going to be 80's this weekend. It was beautiful yesterday. I served sherbet for lunch yesterday and will Monday too.
4 nights of full moon, clear skies, I love the fall!

I'm pretty lucky, not much for predators right where I am at. My bunny has been free ranging for a month now. Its so cute. We leave his cage door open for food and water, but I do not know where he sleeps. My yard is fenced, one acre. And he eats with the chickens in the yard when they are out. Cute, cute. And he runs around in my pony corral too. He likes to nibble on the hay with pony, too.

Been seeing snakes a little more lately, they are gopher snakes, harmless.

I do not know why I feel so excited this morning. I guess just because it is so beautiful out, going out to watch the sunrise as I clean my pony water.

Probably ride today, too.

Everyone have a great day!
