Sounds like someone needs to buy themselves an early Christmas/birthday/anniversary/just for the heck of it gift.

If I had a couple hundred dollars sitting around, I wouldn't buy a camera - I'd buy hatching eggs, hardware cloth and feed.

I was thinking about Pippen when I thought about Silkie/Cochin mixes - I hope I get some as cute as her, I love that perfectly round tail.

Aw thanks Belle, She does have quite the fluffy bottom. She reminds me of Aunt Fannie in Robots

Morning. Happy green beer and cabbage day.

St. Patricks actually causes some strife in this house. See he's the missionary who went from britian (before it was england) to Ireland to convert the heathens. Like most at the time it was not a warm fuzzy method of preaching. It would've been just fine with me if his boat sank in the north sea.

Mr Saddi is Irish, and feels it's his "hertiage" to eat corned beef, cabbage and drink green beer (never mind that st patricks' isn't celebrated in Ireland, but is an irish-american thing).

In 10 years of marriage it's about the only thing we utterly disagree on.

It's just awful. And stinks while cooking. Then gives gas. I told him to go have it during lunch at work if he must, he and the boss are already having beers at the office anyway. ("beer-thirty" happens around 2PM, so that when they close up at 6 they're sober enough to drive).

So I passed a new mom-law last night. Any ice cream, cake, popsicle, pie or brownies will not enter this house. If it's not homemade, you don't need it.

On the record this is to cut back the kids' exposure to artificial colorants/flavors/ect. It just happenes to have the side effect of forbidding mr saddi from bringing me home more junk.

If it ain't in your cupboard, you cain't eat it. Well done Saddi.

There will still be birthday cupcakes and such, but the boys are eating too many sweets. They'll need to be in better shape for swimming the pacific so no more junk.

I need to join this thread. I have been on a 1200 cal diet for months and months now...still not losing weight. I have had my blood drawn and all that, exercise when possible, but I am still 50 pounds overweight. Very distressing. My fat clothes are wearing out, and I am not getting any thinner. I have actually gained weight.

It looks like you all are a good support system. Who wants to yell at me all day, "DONT EAT THAT!"? I need a good kick in the pants.
