So I get an email from my old man insurance guy. It says, stop by the office when you can I have something for you.

I think... can't be business because he'd tell me I need to send money or sign something...
so what can it be?

Maybe some movie rental coupons like he gave me a couple of weeks ago? That would be nice.

So I stop by the next day and he pulls out of his desk a photograph....























...of my dad. And you thought I was going to be sassy.

It was really cool... there he was at the 4th of July festival in his British Car t-shirt, his big ol camera strapped round his neck, and a big ol cheery smile. That's my dad. And it came at the right time. It made me think: if my dad was here he'd be lookin out for me and my sisters can all kiss my...

I was tired, but couldn't sleep for a while. I asked for some tea, and my father warmed some up...and added crushed medicine. I avoided it (I had already taken a pill), but then the 1 1/4 pills I took went to work

Lucifer forgot to crow this morning so I overslept until 9, when normally I can't get past 7. I spent the morning working on the summer dress. Decided to measure to find the right fit based on what the package says rather than go by my normal size, because my home ec teacher so many years ago, told me that sometimes the sizes of the pattern aren't 'right'.

Got the dress skirt sewed onto the bodice, and then added the zipper. Found a bunch of old seeds and decided to plant them around the chicken run to provide shade this summer (assuming they grow. They were pretty old, so I bet they don't.). Went out and rode the horses around an empty pasture that's normally full. Dakota always wants to go explore it, but we've only done so 3 times because its' inhabitants are good horses around other horses that are riding. Just got home and tried on the dress. WAY too big. It fits chest area, but hangs way low in the back, straps are too long and it's too big around. Last time I'm going to trust the package. So now I have to spend a bunch of time taking it in.

Tomorrow I'll do that. Now I'm going to put the chickens to bed and make dinner.
