You're in a wheelchair? What happened?

The muscle that controls side leg movement (forgive me I can't remember the name, it's the little one that you use to do side leg lifts) has been torn. It was injured in the accident, but since the xray didn't show damage, i was walking on it, and doing yoga etc to "work out" the soreness and it's torn worse. About 2 weeks ago I simply could not get out of bed. I can't do bedrest I have 2 kids to tend to, so it's wheelchair and wait in line for surgery.

I just learned my left leg is an inch smaller than my right and that's probably the culprit to my hip pain. This I learned in physical rehab yesterday...but on a good note for my pinched nerve in my neck/shoulders... I get to use their warm pool. I'm gonna need a pool boy.

I'm looking on the bright side, I won't need to use my arm toning DVD's for months. As long as I use the chair i'm not in much pain. I'm not real happy about being on Nsaids for painkillers, but so long as that's the only med i'm on it'll be ok.

who's my uncle? you mean old man chuck? he's a family friend.

my uncles are all on the east coast.

I have a chiro but oh yeah... a massage... my therapist pulled my head up and i was like... ooo hurts so good.

dac is not my kitty.... dakota is my kitty that had surgery today but they say she's good...she's my scaredy cat, my attic cat..... if dac were my kitty he'd probably be one of those kinds that likes to explore and that you find resting on the sidewalk in the sun with bird feathers around him.

my dr. is calling me back... i may need some special made orthodics but i don't know how that's gonna work... i'm always bare foot or in sandals? In winter I wore clog type shoes... slip on... slip off...

aw boo... Scott is my cousin... my big tall cousin... his daddy, Donny, would be my Uncle...my dad used to call him, Uncle Daddy Donny.

So I take it you have read Scott's update? I'm excited to think he may be able to eat some food some time in the near future and get off tube feeding. It's been a rough one for him since his transplant... we almost lost him a couple of times... well, one time he did code but was brought back...and that was when he was in the car with his wife driving him to the hospital... how scary, couldn't even imagine. So glad she finally said yes to him and brought some wonderful daughters into his life too... that's his step daughter writing the updates. Been one heck of a ride and glad he's home again.

I know. It's because my certs are to work with 0-8 yr olds and at those ages a wheelchair isn't exactly workable. So I can't say go teach preschool, as i can't do the lifting and other physical demands of the job. So i'm on temp disability so I can either retrain or hit the 18 months for perm. Again, not sure how to feel.
